Week 8 update

Welcome to week 8 in B3

Grief
Do you know what grief is? B3 does. This week in B3 for health we have been learning about what grief means. We did a brainstorm of what we think grief means. These are some of the ideas we came up with sorrow, feelings and lots other words. We talked about how we have felt when something sad happened to us and we came up with heaps of feelings words. Then we thought about having a mixture of feelings and we all know that it ok to have a mixture of feelings but we need to know how to deal with those feelings in a positive way. Some of the ideas we came up with for dealing with grief are;
  • Having some time alone
  • Going for a walk
  • Reading a book
  • Having a hot bath
  • Going to a special place
Do you know that grief is fun to learn about. I hope you feel the same.

Fraction games
You will not believe what we got to do in B3 this week. We got to make our very own fraction games. First we put together a draft and then we made a good copy. We had to include the materials needed to play the game and instructions. We tested our games with other people to make sure they could follow the instructions with our help. Then Miss Robinson laminated them for us. They look AWESOME! After that we presented them to the class and got the chance to have a go at other games people made.

Week 6 update

Welcome to our week 6 update.

Over and over it goes.
Zooming fast! Rocket on blast. The ball comes flying. WATCH OUT! Guess what? We have been practising how to do over arm throwing. This is how we did it
  • AIM
  • Ball under chin
  • Wind up
  • FIRE!
It seems pretty simple but really it takes a bit to get used to. So if you want to learn how to throw this will help you. We had heaps of fun doing it and we hope you do to.

Guess what? In B3 this week we have been making weetbix cards. On the cards there are dragons, fire, lions, flags and other stuff, we have been working hard to get them finished. We have also learnt about itinerarys. An itinerary is when you plan places to go.

Mascots
We have been making mascots for the rugby world cup. We have been making them out of recylced materials. First we constructed them with the recycled materials next we began to paper mache them. Paper mache has been the best bit so far. We got really slippery and gooey hands/
