On Monday it was exciting because it was snowing. Miss Robinson took us outside and we threw snowballs at each other. After that Miss Robinson took photos of us in the snow.
Also when it was snowing we went outside while it was snowing and sung A haka ma the maori waiata we have been learning.While we were outside Maggie made a snowman.
Guess what we have been writing about??? THE SNOW!! We got to write about our adventures in the snow. We also wrote snow poems when the kids on the bus went home early and we shared them in assembly.
ZAP!!! This week we learnt a really cool literacy game called zap! If you don't know how to play it here's the deal. If you pull out a stick with a word on it and you can read it you get to keep it. If you can't read it you have to put it back. If you pull out a stick with ZAP on it you have to put all your sticks back.
We learnt another cool game this week. It's called greedy pig. You play it by getting a piece of paper to write on. Somebody rolls a dice and you have to keep writing the numbers down as they are called and adding them up if you can. If you think there is going to be a 2 rolled you sit down, if a 2 is rolled you win but if not you are out and the game continues.
In B3 this week we have learnt about other countries flags. We got given flags to colour in the right colours. We did a great job!
We have also been learning about the history of rugby in New Zealand. We made a time line that is up on the wall.
Kia Ora. We have been learning some maori games in B3. The games are called Hipitoitoi and Hei tama tu tama. Our class loves the maori games, well most of us anyway. Some of us are really good at them and some of us don't seem to have much luck at winning. Mihi is really good at saying the starting words of the games. We have a lot of fun playing the games. Thank you for reading what we have been up to.
This week Maggie made a spider. Doesn't it look awesome.
In assembly Ben got to choose 3 friends to come up on the stage with him, he didn't know what it was for until Mr Wright put the Duffy Song on the they had to dance.
